Multiple Launcher Emulator for Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) Integration
The Navy awarded WINTEC a contract for software modifications to Multiple Launcher Emulator (MLEs) systems previously delivered for Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) integration on AH-64 Apache and AH-1Z Cobra helicopters. The contract value is $283K.
These modifications will enable existing MLEs to be compliant with the latest platform-to-launcher interfaces being developed by U. S. Army Joint Attack Munitions Systems Program Office, Redstone Arsenal, AL and Lockheed-Martin, the JAGM prime contractor.
The MLE special test equipment is used to support integration, test, and verification of M-299 Launchers for all Hellfire-series missiles at the aircraft MIL-STD-1760 interfaces – and now for the JAGM follow-on to Hellfire.
MLEs are used in Government or contractor weapon/aircraft integration laboratories and readily support 16-missile loadout configurations for robust platform interface software verification testing. (Oct 2015)
